Most starboard issues come down to the threshold, the emoji, or a missing permission in the board channel.
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Messages are not reaching the board | Check the threshold is not higher than the number of reactions the message actually got. Counts only include the exact star emoji you set. |
| The wrong reactions are counting | Only the emoji configured as the star emoji counts. If you changed it, older reactions with the old emoji no longer add up. |
| Nothing gets reposted at all | Make sure the bot can see the source channels and can Send Messages and Embed Links in the board channel. Without those it cannot post the card. |
| Self stars are inflating counts | If a post reaches the board too easily, turn self stars off so the author's own reaction does not count. |
| The board is too busy or too quiet | Raise the threshold if everyday messages get through, lower it if nothing qualifies. Changes apply instantly. |
