How to post an embed as another user in Discord

Sometimes you want an embed to appear as if it came from a particular member, for roleplay, spotlights or staff posts. mimBo's can post an embed under any member’s name and avatar using a webhook. Here is how.

Build then import

Open the Embed Builder and design your embed.
Click Download JSON to export it. (If you just want it posted by the bot, use Send to Discord instead.)
In your server, run /embed import.
Choose the user to post on behalf of and attach the JSON file.
mimBo's posts the embed through a webhook using that member’s name and avatar.

Permissions and limits

/embed import requires Administrator permission, and the bot needs Manage Webhooks in the channel.

This is intentionally admin-only because posting under someone else’s name is powerful. Use it responsibly and only where your members expect it.
