Appeals ride on your bans, so most issues are about the DM or whether the module is on.

| The banned member did not get an appeal DM | They had DMs closed, which Discord does not let any bot bypass. Make sure Ban Appeals is enabled so the DM is attempted on ban. |
| Appeals are not showing up to review | Confirm the Ban Appeals module is on and your appeal form is published; appeals then appear on the safety dashboard. |
| Accepting an appeal did not unban | Turn on optional auto-unban, or unban manually with /unban after accepting. |
