How severity levels and escalation work

The filter grades every catch as mild, moderate or severe, and the response scales with it. Repeat offenders escalate automatically.

Actions by severity (Standard mode)

  1. Mild
    No action. Edgy jokes and casual language are left alone.
  2. Moderate
    The message is deleted, the member gets a 1 minute timeout and a warning.
  3. Severe
    The message is deleted and the member gets a 10 minute timeout and a warning.

Automatic escalation

Members who keep triggering the filter face growing consequences.

  1. Warnings are counted
    Each warning is stored per member. Staff can check them with /filter-stats user and wipe them with /clear-warnings user.
  2. Timeouts grow
    From the second offence timeouts double, from the fourth they triple and deletion is forced, and from the sixth they run up to 24 hours.
  3. Opting out
    Privacy-conscious members can exclude their own messages from AI analysis with /filter-optout.
Tip. Escalation can be switched off in the Advanced settings if you prefer flat consequences.
