How to set up an AI chat filter on Discord

Configure it on the web portal or entirely inside Discord with /setup. Two modes cover most servers.

Turn it on for your server

  1. Open the portal
    Go to mimbos.com and log in with Discord. Pick the server you want to set up. You need to be an admin or the owner.
  2. Find the AI Chat Filter card
    On the module dashboard every bot has its own card. Modules you have not activated yet show a Configure button that starts setup.
  3. Invite the bot and switch it on
    The setup flow invites the right bot with one click and flips the module on. Each module is its own bot, so your slash menu only contains what you actually use.

After activating

Open the module from its card or from the sidebar rail on any portal page. Settings save to the cloud and the bot picks them up within seconds. No restarts and no config files.

Tip. If something seems off later, re-run the Configure flow. It re-checks the bot's permissions and presence in your server.

Pick a mode and log channel

  1. Standard mode
    Tuned for everyday servers: hard on scams, slurs and explicit content, tolerant of jokes and mild language.
  2. 18+ mode
    For adult-only servers: very lenient on mature content between adults, but scams and illegal content are still removed.
  3. Set the log channel
    Every action is logged to the channel you pick, with the message, categories, confidence and what was done.
  4. Add immune roles
    Roles that should never be filtered, like staff. Server moderators are skipped automatically.

Tip. Prefer Discord? /setup opens the same options as buttons: Filter Mode, Log Channel, Immune Roles and Advanced.
