How to set up an autoresponder on Discord

An autoresponder watches for a trigger word and posts a reply you write. Handy for FAQs, common questions and quick canned answers.

Set up a response

  1. Open Extras
    From the portal, open the Extras module. It runs on the Moderation bot, so make sure Moderation is active.
  2. Enable the autoresponder
    Switch the Autoresponder on.
  3. Add a trigger and a reply
    Type the word that should trigger the bot, then write the reply it sends when it sees that word.
  4. Save
    The bot now answers automatically whenever the trigger word appears.
Tip. Keep trigger words specific. A very common word can fire the reply more often than you want, so choose something distinctive like an FAQ keyword.
