mimBo'sHow to auto-assign a role when someone joins (autorole)
Autorole automatically gives every new member a role the moment they join, so they instantly get the right access and colour. mimBo's includes free autorole as part of the Welcome & Goodbye bot. Here is how to set it up.
Turn on autorole
- Open the Welcome & Goodbye builder and log in with Discord.
- Select your server and open the Server settings section.
- Enable Autorole and pick the role to hand out on join.
- Click Save changes. New members now get that role automatically.
Important: role hierarchy
The mimBo's bot’s own role must sit above the role you want to assign in Server Settings → Roles. Discord will not let any bot assign a role that is higher than its own.

Why is autorole not working?
Almost always role hierarchy: move the mimBo's bot’s role above the role you are assigning, and make sure the bot has the Manage Roles permission.
